Every year, graduates celebrate their accomplishments at commencement. For the 2024-2025 academic year, I was tasked with creating a branding that was on brand and had a sentimental feel.
I chose to do a watercolor gradient background to give the branding an interesting texture. I also picked a serif typeface to make the branding feel more “important” or “official”.
The inside spreads are sprinkled with photos of students celebrating their milestones, as well as photos of campus and university sanctioned events as a reminder of the memories built during their academic journey at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
